Welcome to Barron Park!

The Barron Park Association welcomes ALL BP RESIDENTS, and especially NEW HOUSEHOLDS, to your neighborhood. Participation in the BPA is great for EVERYONE LIVING or WORKING IN Barron Park and Green Acres 2: families and singles, students and seniors, renters and homeowners, and local businesses. The “tent” is big – the BPA is happy to include anyone who wants to support or connect with the neighborhood!

Barron Park has a colorful history and maintains its independent spirit. Settled in the early 19th century, it did not become part of Palo Alto until 1975. The Cornelis Bol family had a hay farm here, where they kept horses and, later, donkeys – land which was eventually transformed into our beautiful Bol Park.

Barron Park residents have worked together to create many of our unique neighborhood treasures, including Bol Park, Matadero Pocket Park, the Donkey Project, and the California Native Habitat Garden. Today, the Barron Park Association remains your neighborhood advocate with the City of Palo Alto, focusing on events and issues that build a stronger community.

Community events occur throughout the year. Event information is posted on local streets and corners, through the BPA email lists, and here on our website.
