Artist's Statement
Being an artist is a way of life that brings me great joy. When I'm in my art studio creating, I immerse myself in the process of making art, and time flies.
As a painter, mixed media and collage artist, I paint with acrylic paint, often adding texture by using different kinds of papers, gels, mediums, a palette knife and brushes. I'm drawn to painting landscapes, other nature-related subjects, cityscapes and street scenes. I love using bold colors in my art work. I'm inspired by the mystery that exists in nature and in life itself.
As a clay artist, I create both functional and decorative pottery.
There is always self-discovery, growth, and unlimited reward with the creative process.
